What is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative partnership designed to help you reach your goals--whatever they may be! A coach will help you define your intentions and cultivate an awareness of your strengths as well as the obstacles holding you back. Coaches offer accountability and support as you create and execute plans to achieve your goals.
Who are my clients?
My clients come from a variety of backgrounds, but what they share is the experience of arriving at a junction in their journey. Transitions comes in all aspects of life, including:
Marriage or the end of a relationship/divorce
A career change or retirement
Starting or ending school
Launching a new venture
Becoming a parent
A health diagnosis or illness
Being discharged from military service or returning home after a prolonged period away
Death or the death of a loved one
Regardless of the transition, what every client shares is the desire to move through these changes with purpose, meaning, and authenticity.
What is the coaching process?
Through one-on-one conversations and work between sessions, you will gain insights into who you are, what you want, and what is holding you back. This self-awareness gives you greater choice over how you experience your day-to-day life. I will partner with you to seek solutions and strategies to help you remove blocks and bolster your innate skills and creativity to achieve your goals. You should be prepared for some discomfort and work during this process of self-discovery.
What happens in a coaching session?
Coaching sessions are conversations that involve open-ended questions and deep listening. After the introductory session--which tends to be longer and focused on getting to know one another--we start each session by identifying a goal for our time together. Goals may be concrete (ex. I want to outline three things I can do this week to be more mindful) or they may be more abstract (ex. I want to talk through the discomfort I’m feeling at home right now). Regardless, the rest of the session is focused on making progress toward that goal.
My services
My coaching services are tailored to individual clients and their needs. I offer 60-minute sessions by video conference or phone. A sliding scale is available to clients with more limited means. Contact me to discuss your coaching goals and coaching packages.
